INFORMATION FOR SUPPLIERS

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Procurement Unit arranges, implements and manages a diverse range of contracts for goods and services.

These contracts vary from food contracts, such as milk, groceries and meat, to office equipment, including photocopiers, personal computers and printers, along with transport contracting, vehicle fuels and vehicle purchase.

A full range of Energy contracts are provided including Gas, Electricity and Heating Oils.  Highways and Building Maintenance goods and services are also contracted for, together with Agency Staff, Window Cleaning and many other.

Contracts are negotiated and managed in consultation with customers requirements.  This ensures value for money for all our customer and partner organisations.

We ensure that all contracts are fully compliant with the Council's Standing Orders and national and European Law.

We seek continuous improvement in procurement processes to obtain the best value and maximise efficiency savings. We encourage local companies to compete for contracts.
